What Is Mixing And Mastering?
We understand that when an engineer talks about mixing and mastering it may seem like he’s speaking a foreign language, but when broken down it is actually quite simple.
Mixing - Making sure each separate vocal sounds clean (adding auto tune to your adlibs or adding reverb to make them sound spacey).
Mastering - Glueing these separate vocals together and making sure the track is ready for streaming services for example… making the track as loud as it can be without distortion and making sure it sounds replicable on all audio streaming devices).
Are my tracks mix and mastered in studio sessions?
At Hazey Studios our engineers will usually do a quick mix and master in session based off how much time there is after the recording process. We then offer more extensive mix and mastering services separately for artists looking to take their mixes to the next level.

How long does it take to Mix and Master a track?
The time can depend on many factors: The type of track, how many vocals there are, how many effects you like, how many artists are on your track and so on… At Hazey Studios you can book the day and time our engineers work on your track so you can have it back the same day!
We believe 2 hours is the right amount of time needed to get your track sounding perfect!
